Have You Seen the MG&E Poster?

Tate has not, so he asked Jenny and Dan to pull it out. They graciously did, but would not let Tate take a photograph. So I managed to sneak it off and stick it in the bedroom window, hoping to get a photograph in the morning. Darnet, Jenny was on to us pretty quick.

New Floors Everywhere!

The kitchen floor was laid today - here are Cole & Jase testing it out (in their socks, of course).

Trimcraft has also finished the stairs up to the dining room. Beauuuutiful!

Cabinet Shop

When I stopped to visit Cole, Jenny & Jase last week there was a new store in the living room.....a Cabinet Shop! Cole was selling a blue, a green and a red cabinet; each was only $1!

New Floors!!!

The floors in the new dining room (old kitchen) and the living room were just sanded and refinished. They look awesome!!!

Gettin' Ready

The cabinets are installed! Wowzers! They look awesome! The cabinet fronts go on this week too.

Ahahahahahahaha!

Tricked you! Just so you know, that was Charles' idea - I'm just not that clever. My camera was banned from the jobsite today....Charles wants to surprise Jenny & Dan tomorrow. Now doesn't that seem selfish that Charles wants the pleasure of seeing the excitement on Jenny & Dan's face? Well, I did manage to get a few photos from outside.

New Cabinets!!!

I excitedly treked over to Jenny & Dan's today to get a peek at the new cabinets. Holy cow - they look awesome! Charles decided to surprise Jenny & Dan by painting them Trimcraft Green. Wow! Don't they look great???

Get 'Er Done

The Trimcrafters are finishing up the stairs today - the ones between the dining room and the kitchen.

They're also patching in salvaged maple for the new dining room floor. Damn, that wall colors looks good, doesn't it?!

Holy cow, is that a table saw in the living room?

Color Makes It Pop!

Last Sunday, the wall texture was sprayed on (Dan & Jenny went with the sand texture). Jim started painting today and *WOW!* how the space is transformed! Note: it was a little dark outside and my camera didn't get the colors exactly right, but this gives you an idea...

Trimcraft is patching the flooring in the old kitchen (now the dining room).....the floors will be sanded and refinished soon!

Mud!

The drywall was mudded on Friday - the place looks even bigger & brighter now!

The old kitchen floor (now dining room) was also roughly sanded - to pull all the gunk from the linoleum glue off.

You may have noticed that Cole often is wearing his "serious face" in most of the photos on the blog. Just before I took this instead of "smile" or "cheese", I said "look serious!", which luckily got Cole to giggle.

More Drywall!

Most of the drywall is hung. The space feels so big and bright now! Next comes the muddin' and tapin'.

INSULATION! DRYWALL!

Last week, they blew foam in to the ceiling and fiberglass in to the walls. The space is very *quiet* now! Trimcraft started hangin' the drywall today.

All Inside

The interior is really coming along - Trimcraft installed the lighting, the electrician wired everything, and the space is really starting to feel "real".

The new stairs that will step down from the dining room in to the kitchen.

Jenny & Dan painstakingly "massaged" the newly graded area and seeded it with new grass.  The grass has started growing in again AND most importantly, the water seems to be flowing downhill and away from the houses!

New Tenants

A new tenant moved in to the Frost-Ohlsen house.  I'm wondering if he'll have kids.

Windows!

Trimcraft installed the windows last week (would've gotten this up earlier, but I misplaced my camera!).  It's starting to really feel like a house in the backyard!
